Sunday afternoon

Hurray, I am done with my summer course's exam. What can I do after exam?

I did not want to get out of bed today until Tiffany called me out for a walk to Civic at around 3pm. I spent the whole morning lying on the bed reading a chinese criminal investigation novel, found on my friend's book shelf. He has a few chinese romantic novels, which are really not my cup of tea. Probably will read them if I can't find any books to read.

Tata... that's the book I am reading... I love the colour... but I kinda skip line by line because I am too lazy to read word by word, I do that even for text books. LOL. Sorry, I am a lazy pig.

Tiffany suggested we should go window whopping, but too bad we went to Canberra Centre quite late and the shops are closing. haha... early bird gets the worm. We managed to went into a shop named T2. I love that shop and it is the first time I went into that shop. I usually don't walk around Canberra Centre. All I do is to go to Superbarn, get all the groceries I need and head home. The shop sells all types of tea leaves and teapots. Their teapot are quite cute and I think I will head back to the shop next time for some tea leaves. I am a tea lover.

I bought a lot of groceries today, so as for Tiffany. We even pushed a trolley back although it wasn't really necessary. I managed to fill up my fridge and I am happy to do so because I have a whole fridge instead of a fridge basket. LOL.

So satisfied with what I did today, Shopping. I remembered last time when I told a lecturer about shopping, he said it sounds SCARY!! How can shopping be scary... It is fun (only when you have spare time and good mood), otherwise it would be just unpleasant!!

Did you spot something??

Oh yes, I bought another rock melon from Superbarn. LOL. I wander if this rock melon is as sweet and juicy as the other which I bought previously. It's still $ 1.99 by the way.

Angel: you can't eat rockmelon with the skin on!!
Demon: I want to eat it NOW!!

The rock melon is as big as my face. Ok, should be my face is as big as the rock melon. LOL. Anyone wants to eat rock melon, u can just drop by at unilodge!! =)

I was crazy to buy 13 ears of corn today. First, I saw them in Aldi, 4 ears for $1.70. Then, I bought 8 ears. Later I went to Simply Fresh, they have quick sale bag of corns for $ 2. In that bag itself, there were around 5 ears. Gosh, I was so tempted to buy another quick sale bag, but I was RATIONAL enough to stop myself from wasting food!!

Corn is good for your eyes. It containes Lutein and zeaxanthin, pigments that provide corn with its deep golden hue, allows for sharp central vision. Oh, I definitely need that. I told my dad that by the time I graduate, I am going to be blind because my eye's condition worsen every year. Now, at least I found something that is affordable and easy to find to keep my eyes healthy.

It is very surprising to find that eating corn makes you smarter. LOL. No more excuse to eat chocolates to make you smarter. What a good news for girls that care about the S-figures. (I am not in that category!!). Corn contains thiamine for brain cells which functions are to store and retrieve information. Does it mean I will be a bit smarter this year? Let's wait and see!!

For more of the benefits of eating corns, please visit http://www.mensfitness.com/nutrition/what-to-eat/corn-101. The information above are all from that website.

So, I am going to have corns everyday for snack for the following week. It's just so simple to cook. Fill up the bowl with a bit of water and corn. Microwave for 5 minutes and it's ready to eat. So convenient and nutritious.

A lot of people don't understand how shopping for groceries can make me so excited, I don't know why, but it's just do. When I filled up my fridge with food, I know I won't get into hunger to the rest of my week and it is a way to reward myself for all the hard work!!

Happy Chap Goh Mei, everyone!! Time flies and Chinese New Year is going to end soon; Valentine's is coming soon.

Anyone for Valentine's? =)
